Willard Home Delivered Meal Driver (Temporary)

This is a Monday-Friday part-time (15-20 hours), temporary position to cover an illness.

$8.30 per hour

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for delivering hot meals to senior residents of Huron County. The Meal Driver also assists the Kitchen Supervisor with food preparation, setting tables for congregate lunch, and next day meal preparation

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with packing meal deliveries; Assure all required temperatures are retained
  • Responsible for cleanliness of vehicle
  • Advise Kitchen Supervisor of any issues related to the meal vehicle
  • Collect donations, count receipts and file daily reports
  • Record absent clients and return all undelivered meals to center
  • Maintain confidentiality pertaining to clients and all matters related to the company
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management

Skills and Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, division, multiplication

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Requires a significant amount of sitting, walking, bending, kneeling and twisting

Ability to tolerate different types of weather such as rain, hot and cold temperatures, snow, ice, etc.
