December Senior Profile: Bobbie Wallace

“Always willing to help anyone” …that is one way everyone describes Bobbie Wallace. Bobbie was born in a Catholic Hospital in Cleveland 95 years ago. She grew up mostly in Ohio, and has been in the Norwalk area for over 70 years.

Bobbie grew up the oldest of five siblings, three brothers and one sister. She was married to her beloved husband, Joe, for 53 years. They had four children, two boys and two girls.

Bobbie worked at Fanny Farmer for six years, the Norwalk Bargain Center, Cooks, and was the very last cash register operator at Rinks.

The biggest change Bobbie sees in life is people and their faith. She wishes everyone had stronger faith and a relationship with our Lord.

Bobbie’s children and her church are very important parts of her daily life. She also is very involved at the senior center. The center allows her fellowship with everyone involved there. She loves volunteering for anyone who may need a helping hand. She never hesitates to ask what she can do, or how she can help. She joins us for lunch daily, and her favorite pastime of all is playing the ‘Hand & Food’ card game. She wants to thank all her fellow seniors for their friendship, the staff for all they do to make her feel so special, Roxanne for running such a wonderful place that brings her so much happiness, Alison for the delicious food, and a special thank you to all the drivers who are so nice to her and make her life so much easier and more comfortable.

Thank you for being a part of Senior Enrichment Services for 20 years Bobbie! Everyone please join us and ‘raise your cup of hot chocolate…’ Cheers to Bobbie!
